FMF powercore 4 full exhaust

I have an 03 with a full fmf powercore 4 exhaust that the previous owner installed. Long story short, it is way too loud for my liking. I don't think that the quiet insert would quiet it down enough. What I am wondering is will a slip on muffler of a different brand connect to the fmf header pipe or is it only designed to work with a fmf muffler?

I am not really looking at this moment to sell the pipe, the machine is going to sit for the next six months while I am deployed. The muffler is way too loud and it is kind of beat up from the fender rubbing on it a little. I don't want to get rid of the stainless header pipe either especially if a slip on of another brand will fit it. I have heard a hmf on my friends suzuki ltz 400 and it is considerably quieter than mine. Like I originally posted I just need to know if another muffler will fit the header pipe that I have. I am not sure being that it is a whole system that is on it if the muffler would fit your set up if you have a stock system on it now.
