04 predator not starting when cold
My 04 predator will not start when letting sit over night takes a long time to get it to start but once i get it going its fine all day. seems like it came on fast like one day it started fine and the next not at all. checked for spark, replaced the plug, checked for fuel to carb, it all checks out. when i get it to start it runs like a raped ape!! only thing left that i can think of is valves i have owned it for 3 years and have never touched the engine internals. Thanks for reading any help would be great!

even if fuel pump is losing its prime it should still fire off whats in the carb bowl. i would check the valves.

Its not to hard once you know what you are doing. I will be doing mine next week and I plan on making a video of how it is done.
The hardest part is getting the timing set up again. The math for figuring out your shim size is also confusing, but once you know it, its easy.

The video will probably have to wait until next week. It is just too damn hot out to work in the garage. I went out change the spark plugs in my truck and in a half hour I was soaked with sweat. We will see what tomorrow brings. If not it will have to wait until next week.
Do you know how to tear down your head and get to the shims? If so I can make a video just containing the math part of it.
