I have been having an issue with my 04 Pred 500 not starting using the ignition, but it can be push started and works fine. If I let off of the gas it dies right away. I took it into a shop and they told me that the killswitch wire grounded out inside of the harness and that is why it will not start. Is it correct that if it grounds out within the harness it will cause the quad to act this way? Any info will be helpful thanks.

to me it sounds like you need to unplug your wires going to the thumb throttle (for testing) if it starts you need to adjust the safety switch in the throttle housing.
