Recommended Valvetrain Overhaul Interval

Hello All,

Just wondering if Polaris recommends valvetrain (cams and gears, chain and gears, tensioner, guides, and valves) overhaul at a scheduled interval on the 05 TLD Predator and if so, when? Im not a big fan of run it till you break it. That always costs more in the long run. Any positive input is appreciated!

im not sure what is recommended on this but when you do your valve checks/shim changed to keep them in spec once you get close to not having any adjustment left its time to redo the head. There isnt really a set time as to how many hours you will get before you smoke a head/valve or piston. I tore my 04 down to do a big bore head and everything still looked new and im guessing it was at around 50 hours on it. Depending on how you ride and how much you ride i would check valves 1-2 times a yr. Maintenance is always cheaper then rebuilding a broken motor. If you lose a valve head is toast along with piston and most likely cylinder.
