over heating???

i have an 03 predator i just bought used.... i rode it for about an hr or 2 straight at the river then i realized that the overflow can was spitting coolant out of the lid of the overflow...it seems like the cooling fan comes on and off doesn't stay on .is this normal or do i have blockage????

I would start with a radiator flush and go from there if you bought it used some ppl never even think of changed the fluid, could be old fluid with junk in it so thats were id start............p.s check all your hoses thouroughly and in/outlets of the radiator and motor

My suggestion there would be just get yourself a manuel would make life alot easier when you have the wiring diagram an the bike side by side an you can check on bikebandit.com too see if the diagram is on there in the oem section but bwfore you go spending money go threw your wiring off thw fan an look for anything grounding you could have something arching on occasion too prevent the fan from working properly.....

if it need go deeper id look into the temperature sensor or sending unit
