Exclamation i got nothing

lol just like the title says, i was riding last night and the headlights started acting weird, when i was on the throttle they were dim, off the throttle idling they were bright, i stopped to have a smoke and check it out, tried starting it, nothing. no headlights, no neutral light , nothing on the starter button, hooked up a rope to it and pulled it with my buddys scrambler and it pop started (we were in the woods), got it back to the house and shut it down and tried the starter button again and still nothing. any thoughts guys?

sounds like a charging or regulator issue to me. time to get out the multimeter and start running some tests.

test your battery with quad off. then test it with quad running (i know youll have to pull start it) not running you should be at 12.5 or so. if not charge or pull start it then you should be at about 14 or so volts with it running at about half throttle or so. this will tell you if your charging your battery or not.

Easy way to test voltage regulator. Jump start the quad with a battery pack, run it around the yard 10 minutes, put your hand on the VR, if its cold you need to replace it.
