Fan question

I was riding my 03 predator and realized the overflow was throwing water. The over temp light was on but my fan doesn't come on at all. My question is since the light comes on does that mean my temp sensor is working but the fan is bad?

Most likely... pull the wires and test the fan...

ok bypassed the fan switch and the fan came on. Even though my over temp light comes on obviously the fan switch is bad. Right? Thanks
