predator 500 hard to start cold
my predator 500 is hard to start when it sits over night but after you get it started it starts fine the rest of the day the valves are fine any ideas

either fuel pump going bad or carb needs rebuild

well i worked on it tonight my battery keeps running down so i tested wires and found two brown wires fell out of connector to the voltage regulator i hooked them back up and tried to start it it starts easier and idles better it must not have had enough juice to fire it cold.

well okay not the problem still starts hard when cold and starts fine when it gets warmed up

any aftermarket parts? air filter? pipe? could be running lean also check and make sure the choke is working correct.

hard start
i think choke is working cause after you get it running been riding it for a while while it is idling if you pull choke out it dies, another thing when it is running it sounds like it is idling too high but then it slows down and dies only after market parts are a header pipe and a pure polaris slip on

air leak would cause the high idle and dirty carb will make it die.
