turns over has spark, but no start!!
i have a 2006 tld predator- I went to start it, it made a loud backfire then wouldn't start. it turns over but wont fire up
is this CDI, bad wiring, valves, spark plug, compression? ??
i have never ran into an electrical problem, and am still coming along with bike and quad mechanics.

Getting gas. Could be when back fired it shear magneto key that tell the plug when to fire.

You have to find out when your spark plug is firing if it is firing when its top dead center magneto key should be fine but if not firing top dead center you have problem.

my sportsman is doing the same. was running then loud as hell backfire now wont start engine getting gas fine and has spark so if it is the key what is the fix will pull it apart tomorrow thanks

Will it start if you open the throttle a small amount, then if you let off it dies? If so then it's likely the throttle safety switch inside the throttle thumb housing, pry that open and adjust so that the contacts are not touching and it should stay running.

03 predator 500 wont start it gets gas and spark and has good compression, 2003 polaris predator 500 wont start its getting gas and spark, 2004 polaris sportsman atv turns over but wont start, 2009 polaris 500 sportsman safety switches that would cause it not to fire, atv backfires and loud when running, atv has spark but wont stay running, my atv engine turns over but doesnt start, my polaris ranger wont start, polaris 500 spark but no fire, polaris 500 sportsman will not start turns over and backfires, polaris predator turning over but will not start up!, polaris ranger died and will not start, polaris ranger turns over but will not start, polaris ranger will crank but no sparrk, polaris ranger will not start, polaris ranger will not start fires, polaris ranger wont start, polasis 500 sportsman will mot start turns over and backfires, quad getting spark but not firing, why do the spark plugs have no spark on my polaris 700
