2003 predator no spark
Just picked up an 03 predator 500 the guyn i got it from said it hadnt been ridden in atleast 4 years that he knows.Got it home drained the fuel put a new battery in it.It cranks over real strong but wont start,pulled plug and it has no spark .I ordered a manual for it but can i start checking in the mean time

i have a 2003 600 with no spark, how to i test the cdi unit 4010785? does anyone have a good cdi for sale?

you can only run a cdi off a predator 500 03-04. I would check to make sure you dont have a bad key switch or a kill switch grounding out and not giving you spark before going to the cdi. there is also a black sealed bag back by the rear shock that has a self resting breaker that when get dirty or wet over time go bad. You have to cut that bag open to check it tho.

whats the best way to test a key switch and kill switch? does the breaker have a button for manual reset, or do I just bypass it , if it's bad to test to see if i have spark?
