06 Pred wont start please help

Last weekend i went ridding and had some issues with my bike bogging out a lot. I figured it was a dirty carb and that i should clean it when i get home. As i was unloading the bike i started my atv and then it stalled out when the bike began to bog out, i couldnt start it after that it would just keep trying to start but never actually catch. Today i cleaned out the carb top to bottom jets and all, charged the battery over night, put in a new plug as well as a new air filter and i still cant start the bike. The started turns as if it were going to start normally but the bike never picks up. It sounded ok to me just like any other time, the compression out of the pipe sounded a little louder then before but nothing to out of the ordinary. My buddy who sold me the bike came by today and said the compression sounded a little off, he said i should check the starter/ignition. Anyone else have any ideas or ways i can confirm its the starter?

Thanks in advance

Thank you sir,

Today i pulled out the plug and grounded to the head and saw sparks. I also pulled the intake from the carb and saw gas being sprayed into the carb. So i have gas i have a spark and i can hear the compression out of the pipe but it still wont turn over.

Have you tested the compression?

I havent tested compression yet but i will do that tonight, as for valves i dont have the knowledge to mess with those myself but you are not the first person to recommend i take my quad in for a valve job.

Earlier i sprayed some starter fluid into the carb and that almost got it going, i heard some sputtering but it didint take..

Anything else i need to try before taking it in for an expensive servicing?

no but if you keep messing your going to cost yourself more money then needs be. If its valves and they are to tight to let it fire you are taking a chance on bending them with the continued attempts at getting it to start.
