big bore kits
ive been toying with the idea of having a big bore kit installed on my 500, that being said would i get more or as much power out of upgrades like cams, ignitions, etc. what is the biggest bore you can achieve with the stock engine?

600 Hot seat kit = 1800
558 HPD Inc kit = 500ish
560 JE kit = 500ish but you have to buy everything and have the sleeve put in
636 Falicon Stroker kit = 2200 ish
558 is best bang for the buck send them your cylinder and get a kit back thats ready to bolt on.
cam 400 bucks for cams 400 for parts to go with cams
hot cams are junk
ignition 300 for a dyna fs programmable total waste of money if you dont pay to have it programmed for you and anything over 10,200 RPM's kills the valve train in the fuji motor.

i looked at the 558 kit you mentioned, would i need to have valve work done to accommidate the bigger piston? or re-jet it? will stock carbs work...etc? and can i still use regular gas with it? what would the power increase be?

93 octane. 3-5 hp and stock carb works fine no valve work needed

i think the only other concern i would have would be the transmission, will the stock tranny stay together with the extra power?

Without plagiarizing I have read about a guy who blew (2) 04 trans 3rd gears w/ a big bore kit. He had a hard time until he swapped for an 05 tranny. Josh may have had different luck with his quad. He probably knows who I am talking about!

actually 04 trannys are good its the 03's you have to watch out for. if you were going to have trouble with the tranny it would have already happened. do the big bore you will love it.

what are some good options for shocks? or would it be better to just have the stock ones re valved for my weight? and i never could figure out the rear shock adjustment knob {the fox blue knob}
