New to the forum, few questions

Hey guys just bought a 06 troy lee edition predator, all stock but a pure Polaris pipe, LOVE the quad its a blast pulls up nearly all gears but 5th, but it is geared extremly short, i have read the troy lee is geared shorter then the regular predator, my buddy on a 700r hits 5th as im almost at the limiter in 5th lol, he has a power comander, 14 tooth sprocket, intake and full barker exhuast. (The goal by this spring is to beat him) its pretty close now untill im topped out he doesn't pull much.

so for the questions
best bang for buck intake?
best header pipe ?
what kind of jetting (rough idea) should i have done i live in the mountains of central pa
just looking for some over all do's and donts to these machines i stopped riding in 06 when i was 16 and finally got to get another and im in love again lol. let me know what you can tell me thanks again

i have an 03 with an hmf full exhaust on it with stock gearing and mine is jetted but i have no idea what is is jetted to all i know it mine is specific to the pipe and was done by a local race team. i still haven't found anything in this area that can compete with me on an open stretch the only one that was close was my buddy on his 05 predator and he has the same setup as me minus the jetting and the gearing

all the ones i have talked to are all running 14s up front if you go down to a 13 you will be able to pick it up easier but not as much top end and the opposite if you go to a 15 i was running a stock polaris sprocket and i stood it up and somehow twisted my sprocket all up so i went to an after market JT sprocket and its holding up much better

stock is 14 tooth and yes it all depends on what you want if you like the set up you are runnning now i wouldn't really mess with the gearing but if you want more top end then make the changes also when you rejet it there will be a difference
