2004 Predator TLE questions. Should I trade for it?

So, here's the deal. I have always liked the Predator, but have never pursued getting one, and for the last few years have owned KFX/DVX 400's.

Well, the other day I ran across a CHERRY 2004 TLE, with less than 50 hours on it. Apparently it scared the original owner to death so he traded it. The new owner just wants something different(like me) The biggest hangup for me is Lack of reverse, and the fact that my KFX400 is pretty cherry as well.

I am 37, so I have been around the block once or twice, so trading and riding is nothing new for me. Most of my riding is in the trails, with plenty of informal drag races and trips to the dunes in Waynoka too. It's not that I need reverse, but it is REALLY handy to have it.
And the reason I'm looking at the 04' vs 05 and up is, this guy is the only one I have seen that wants to trade.

Now onto the questions:
- What general issues should I be looking for on a used 2004 tle(this guy says it looks like it just came out of the crate)
- Are the TLE transmissions as weak as the 2003 and 2004 Standard
- Ball joints weak?
- I hear the steering goes bad
- How about the brake drag

I can live with no reverse, as I ride motorcycles so I know better than to corner myself non-stop.
I'd hate to trade such a good quad(KFX) for a problematic year. Another issue I have is, I have ZERO seat time on these things. I don't know ANYONE that has one. I traded my DVX away because it was like riding around on an AXE handle, I don't want that issue again.

Another thing is, this is advertised as a TLE, but I am not seeing Reservoirs up front. I see Fox Pogo, but without the reservoir. So, how can I tell when I am looking at it, if it's really a TLE?
