polaris scrambler winch bumper

i have a 99 400 scrambler that the motor is non operational. i was wondering if a 500 4 stroke scrambler motor would hook up to the transmission and work in it. What all would it take to make this work or is it even possible. i really dont like the 2 stroke.

Maybe. There are also engine mounts, control, frame, electric, air, and fuel connections to think about. Unless someone here says yeah, they did that, I think you would have to have the two side by side to do a visual assessment. Then you will have to pay retail $$ for all those parts.
