Just bought an 04 Scrambler, first quad
Hey.
New to the forum & getting back into riding. Bought a Scrambler good shape for $2500. Has about 66 hrs on it. Only trouble with it is a slow leak on a front tire & the foot brake doesn't work. Looking forward to learning more about it. Glad to be here.

Thanks guys
I have access to a tire machine so I'm going to try breaking the bead & reseating it first. Doesn't look like it's seated properly. If that fails, Slime it is...
I need to do some searching on here about the brake problem. I may never use it, but I want it to work regardless.

My 2001 500 4x4, dosn't have foot brake either. The rear master went out a few years back. I'm pretty sure yours is the same but not positive, my front brake lever also works the rear brake system. Someone told me all polaris is like this?

I had the same problem with the foot brake on my 2008 when I got it last year. I bled the rear real good and now I can step on them and lock the rear wheels. I like that much better as I'm used to riding a sport quad. Hope this helps with your problem.

That seems to be a common problem. Obviously my quad us different, but mine appears to have two brake lines going to the rear brake. One from the lever and one from the foot. If it was the cylinder I would assume the lever wouldn't actuate the rears either. I could be wrong though. I'm still a newb at ATVs.
