who knows their scrambler info?
I bought a 400 scrambler 4x4, the guy told me it was a 93 or 94 that he wasnt sure.. Iv'e done a little research on the web n the earliest Ive seen listed was 95. Ill try to post pics soon so maybe som1 can gimmi a positive ID. Its stripped down now though, maybe plastics and frame will b enuf.. Reason I need to know is when taking off top end, 2 do the rebuild the fellow i got er from said it would need, I noticed the con rod had lotsa play so went ahead & split the cases, good thing I did to as the block was full of water. Seems the pump seal gave up on it and all the metal inside is rusted. My mechanic suggested I replace the crank with a "Hot Rod" crank but says his supplier has them on back order but said I could probably locate 1 online. So far I found a site with con rod kits, and they have the "hot rod" but Im not sure if the stock crank is salvageable, the mechanic has a sandblaster but I think he was wanting to go total replacement..
Any ideas, suggestions, or comments are welcome!
