dg pipe on scrambler 400?

howdy all - i bought a 1999 scrambler 400, has a dg pipe and silencer. problem is the pipe mounts horribly, i'm wondering if its the right pipe for this thing. as it wraps around the frame piece right at the front it is very close, like maybe an 1/8"... then it sits on top of the recoil housing, and has been rubbing into it. other than that lines up with the muffler etc perfect. anybody else have an aftermarket pipe on one of these - i'd love to see how others have theirs mounted..... thanks a lot to anybody with any ideas on this.

it sounds like it is the dg pipe from the explorer 400. i have a aeen pipe on my 400 scrambler from a 400 explorer and it works but it is the same problem. it also is too close to the plastic heat shield and rear fender and in time melted through mine. might want to check that on yours as well.

I ran a DG pipe on my 400 and it fit good, not like what you are describing.
