Tire Spin

I recently purchased my first polaris scrambler 500 4x4. The rear tires are ITP XCT about a third to half worn. The back end feels extremely loose and all the tires want to do is spin when I mash the throttle. Is this normal for the scramblers? Maybe because there is alot of power and the front end and actually the whole machine is so heavy? Do others of you with scrambler's experience the same thing?

yeah the power to weight ratio is pretty good on the scramblers. what kind of riding do you do? I've got some holeshots on my 400 2 stoke because it overpowers almost everything. still have the stock 489's on my 4x4's and they seem to do ok. mostly I ride them on rocky trails.

you should be able to plant the ass end and pull the front tires off the ground. try what arrow suggested, take the air pressure to 2.5 or 3 pounds.
