polaris scrambler clutch noise

Hi, I hope someone can help me or send me somwhere to get the help. I have a 98 scrambler 500 and the other day I was headed back to farm and was running it wide open to get back to the farm before a storm hit. As I got it to the shop door and slowed to almost a stop The engine just died. I tried to restart it and nothing. I put it in neutral and tried and it started right up, so i then tried to put it in gear to go on into the shop but it wouldnt go into gear, it just grind...I suspected a clutch problem so took the cover off and I was right. The drive clutch was jammed in the high gear ratio by what looks like a two piece bearing like you would find in a motor (rod or main bearing). Now I know one of the best upgrades to these machines from what I've read is in the clutch (supposedly better acceleration and top end) and i have seen clutch kits but was wondering if there was a complete aftermarket performance cluth available for these scramblers. I have seen a complete clutch made by comet but am not familiar with these other than like on go karts...So are they any good and if not are there any other options? I'm looking at a clutch upgrade also, although I don't have the problem you described. From everything I've read so far, It looks like a clutch kit from EPI is the way to go. If you go to the supporting vendors section of the forum page there is a link to their site. Pretty reasonable prices too.
