reverse problem 99 scrambler 400 4x4

i have a problem when i put my scrambler in reverse it acts like its choking out and it wont back up with out stalling out ,it just started doing it yesterday after fixing the front axles . when i was looking at the tranny i found a vacuum line hooked to the tranny on the rightside down by the rear brake caliper .i tried to find where else it would hook to but couldnt find a spot .

i have to use the override button to get reverse to work

Mine too just started to act up. Only thing i was messing with was the brakes. I believe that hose is a overflow or vent tube.
How is the take off going forward? Mine is a little sluggish at first.

my take off is great in reverse as long as i hold override button . i still have alot of work to do on it like cv joint boots ,new brake pads ,rear brake caliper and rear brake master cylinder and some tuning and regreasing . i found a few atv salvage yards near me and hopefully i can find most of the parts i need there except the brake pads and cvjoint boots ill buy them new . over all the 4 wheeler runs great only problem is finding parts that dont brake the pocket book lol
