polaris scrambler lift kit

Looking to pick up a 05 Scrambler for 1100 bux. Guys says it needs a sprocket kit? He told me that when you put it in gear and give it gas it wont go. but if you lift up the back end the tires will spin when in gear. Sprocket kit? Sounds like a really SHOT belt.

Ideas?

well if the splines on the sprocket are worn enough, with weight on the bike they can't grab the chain but can without weight sometimes. but could be a belt, if it's the sprocket you would hear grinding of the sprocket spinning on the chain.
