Initial checks on a 2000 Scrambler 400

Can anyone tell me the basic checks I should make on a 2000 Scrambler 400 that I recently purchased? It had no owners manual (I will order one this weekend), and it is quite different from my 4 stroke Can-Ams. It runs great, with no issues. I just would like a little advice as to fluids, tire pressures (I'm assuming between 3.5 and 5psi), etc.
Thanks in advance.

Make sure the oil is topped up, there is about 6 grease fittings in the front end, its always good to grease those up. Make sure your chain tension is correct, I recently ruined a chain and sprockets by figuring i was good for a day of riding and that i would tighten it next week. Check your coolant, Just the basics really, these bikes are self explanatory

Also check the belt for significant wear.

Thanks Adam
I did check the injector oil and coolant when I got it. The PO showed me the chain tension and how to adjust.
What injector oil is recommended? (I know this always stirs debate). What about gear case fluids?

Injector oil is personal preference. You could go see polaris and see what they recomend. I chose amsoil synthetic and love it. Theres not that much smoke from it compared to the stuff the po was burning and it doesnt smell horrible either. I just bought some ipone strawberry scented oil to try as a joke but after reading reviews i may stick with the stuff if its as good as everybody said. As for crankcase im pretty sure its 30 wt. Check around on here for that one to make sure though

2000 Scrambler 400

I only think AMSOIL Products but here is what the Polaris Lube Spec charter has to say about capacities etc.

Engine - AMSOIL HP Injector (HPI) - Very Good; AMSOIL Interceptor (AIT) - Excellent
Transmission - 32oz capacity 4x4; 11oz capacity 2x4 - AMSOIL Synthetic Chaincase & Gear Oil (TCCCN 16oz)
Rear Differential 4x4 & 2x4 4-oz - AMSOIL Severe Gear 75W-90 (SVG)
Front hubs 4x4 5-oz cap- AMSOIL Multi-Vehicle Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF)
Guide recommends replacing brake fluid every 2 yrs with DOT4 - AMSOIL High Performance Brake Fluid (B4FSN)
