Counterbalance oil only on older machines?

I have an 01 scrambler, and I cant find any info about the counterbalance oil, and I dont see anywhere to fill it. Pretty confused about the whole thing.

For something that I have read is REALLY important, I cant fid out where it is on my machine.

it's on the 400 2 strokes. the fill/check plug is on the backside of the engine, and looks like you need a large screwdriver to take it off ,only it's just finger tight. the drain hole is up front and the bottom. it ionly holds 4.5 ounces of oil 10w-30
