Unhappy Brand new 570 Sportsman EPS Problems - Bigger Issue?

First ATV and first post, was very excited to get it home and play in the yard, however had issues immediately that have put a damper on my excitement. I immediately had issues shifting the ATV into gear and when I did get it in gear, it would jump forward or backward when in reverse at idle. When I turned it off, I could shift no problem, so I figured it must be something with the clutch. It was also stalling at times. Took it back to dealer and sure enough, they had to shim the clutch.

I then brought the ATV back home and all seemed well shifting into gear. The weather quickly changed and I was excited to see snow for the first time since I was a kid since I got to try out my plow! Plowing went pretty good except for the fact that the ATV kept stalling again and not necessarily when I was pushing snow, but more when I was just stopping to switch gears. Back to the dealer...

Got a call from the dealer today saying they were able to replicate the stalling issue and also the hard shifting (which was odd since this was previously fixed with the shimming) and that they also had several other new Polaris ATVs with the same issues and had opened a case with Polaris. Along with that there is a pending snow storm tomorrow, just my luck...

Anyone else having these same symptoms?

Clutch alignment happens and is an easy fix. I would say the stalling has to do with the clutch being out of alignment. Hopefully so as that would be a quick and painless solution.

My 2016 570 EPS Touring did stall unexpectedly a couple of times the first day I rode it. Hasn't been an issue since, though.

Mine 2016 570 stalls occasionally when plowing just like yours. Always when stopping or off the throttle to shift gears. I assumed it may be something to do with the throttle safety switch. Interested to see what the dealer finds.

That's a real bummer. Hope I have a different experience when I pick up mine Tuesday. Thanks for sharing because this could happen to anyone..

Dealer just called me back and the tech said they had worked with Polaris and their only suggestion was to adjust the clutch, which they had already done the first time around, and that they could bring it back to me today. WTF!?!? He also told me that he could only get it to happen once when plowing heaving snow into a pile, so apparently that was acceptable. I let him know that the stalling mainly happened when letting off the throttle to switch gear and that the story I had the previous day was that they were able to replicate it multiple times.

Asked for manager... Service Manager acknowledged that they had 3 brand new 570s with the same exact issue, so I'm not alone (not necessarily comforting). He also said that the only way they can interface with the Polaris engineer was through email and the only thing they had recommended was the clutch adjustment (again already done). He's going to try and get someone on the phone to discuss this further considering there are 3 ATVs there with the same problem.

Meanwhile, 7-11 inches forecasted this afternoon into tomorrow... I guess I'd better get the shovel ready...

darius - sounds like you have the exact same issue, I'll keep you posted, may want to let your dealer know in case there is a bigger problem at hand. I'm pi$$ed as I barely got to use this thing.

Just thinking about the common item of plowing... I'm wondering if this is power thing considering the continuous use of the winch for the up/down of the plow and the small size of the battery?
