Can anyone tell me what bulbs are in the OEM taillights. I imagine they are crappy halogens bc I already have one burned out on my 2017. I'm on the road but want to buy LED replacements.. Wife told me it's burnt out bc she was out playing in the snow, getting stuck, and winching out all day. And if there are any other halogens for that matter, I'll want to swap them out. A bulb list by location would be super cool. much appreciated!
they are cheap bulbs all right,!! on the sportsman 570 anyway. I had to replace a low beam after only about 375 miles, dealer covered that one but than a couple long rides later a tail light went, they didn't want to pay for that one, they said u ride some rough trails, LOL
Thats true we did ride alot of fast rocky trails last summer,
Everything made in China now, good stuff !!!!
oh and i find the rear bulbs are not bright enough during the day, if u find something brighter could u post brand and product code please ,
tks, Dan
Totally agree with CyberianHusky! I put these Sylvania LED's in my 2016 570's taillamps a few weeks ago and they are MUCH brighter, and should last much longer as well. I did have to flip one of mine over after it didn't work the first time I installed it. Worked like a champ after flipping it 180 degrees. The best $20 I ever spent.
In addition, I replaced the headlamps with the Xenon Blue bulb replacements from Polaris (Part number 2876464) and they look much brighter now as well. You have to buy two packs of them because they come 2 to a pack, and you need three for hi and low beams. The good thing is that you end up with one spare in case any ever burn out. Four of them set me back $63 with shipping on Polaris.com.
Just wanted to let everyone know that the Zevo 3157R LED Tail light will work just fine on a 2017 Sportsman 450 and 570.
This is what you need to do.
Step 1) When replacing the stock rear tail light bulbs with Zevo 3157R. You want to replace BOTH the left and right side BEFORE Testing.
Step 2) Once both LED lights are install then turn on your ATV. What you want is to have both lights on and when you press the hand brake both lights to turn on even brighter.
For me, after I install both LED lights and tested by turning on my ATV, one LED was lit and the other was not so I flipped the LED light that was not lit and now both LED lights were lit and when I pressed on the hand brake, both LED lights work.
What I think/suspect some people did was just tested 1 tail light while the other tail light still had the stock OEM bulb. When I did this the 1 tail light with the Zevo 3157R LED light only work as a parking lights and the light went out when I pressed on the hand brake. So I flipped the LED light and now the parking light did not light up but it did light up when I pressed on the hand brake.
This is not what we want, we don't want one or the other. What we want is to have the parking light work on both side and the brake light to also work on both side and this can only be done if you install both Zevo 3157R LED lights before turning on your ATV.
I knew there was a step missing when so many people said it worked while a few still said it didn't. Why didn't it work? What did you do differently? Or what step was not provided to make it work?
Well I hope this helps someone new that wants to change their tail light bulbs for something Brighter, Less Wattage and LED lights.
Only reason I did this was to save some wattage because I'm installing a AUXBEAM 12" 72watt LED Light on my ATV-GURU Front Brush Guard soon.
Plus I like spending $$ on my new toys.
I'm still deciding on what to do with my low beams and high beam. I want a 6,000K light because I like that color, we don't really ride at night plus the 12" AUXBEAM LED should be plenty light. Just don't like the ugly yellowish stock bulbs.
I knew about the 3157R for the taillights cause I just picked some up, but what bulb number would work for the headlights in LED for a 450 HO? I know they have LED headlight bulb for car and trucks, so there must be one for the Polaris.
I planned on mounting a light bar as well so wattage might be a concern.
Does anyone know if the Zevo's work in the 2014 570? And if so where I might get some in Canada. The only ones I can find are Sylvania but not Zevo and don't look the same
I'm running Super Bright LED's ( Red) in my tail lights. They only use like 1 watt each. I can't seem to find the part number just yet... but they are extremely bright when you tap the brakes.
There might be some info on them in one of my older threads on my 2015 1000 if anyone is interested... but they are super bright Led.com
