New Scooter...

Brought home a 2017 570 today. I've been lurking on here for some time (second post) and a lot of the questions I had when I was shopping have been answered by just reading.

I am coming off a 2007 Yamaha Grizzly 450. It is a giant 4-wheeled vibrator () but when I would give it gas it would move out smoothly. This new machine has what feels like slack in the driveline....there's a slight hesitation then a jerk/clunk when it engages. I am ASSuming this is normal and will get better as it breaks in?

Congrats on the new ride!

I just purchased a new 570. I noticed the same thing while test driving. It seems to me that this has smoothed out somewhat. I really didn't notice it after getting out and putting some miles in. Best wishes with your new machine.

My 2017 450 H.O. did the same thing, but it has smoothed out quite bit after 80 miles. Some that is the belt breaking in, although mine still clunks and clicks at a slow speed a little when you put it in gear. I was told by service it's because of the rubber mounts on the front gear in the driveline. It does move back a forth a little if I try to rock it in gear, so I figure they are right.

I like the way you spelled Assuming

Biggest problem I'm gonna have is because some moron put the brake where the clutch is supposed to be. I very seldom use rear brake on my motorcycle, so on this thing I keep fanning my right hand in the air looking for the brake lever, which aforementioned moron put on the clutch side.....I'll get used to it, but in a week or so I'll probably run into a truck on my motorcycle with the clutch pulled all the way against the grip and a confused look on my face.

Congrats on the new 570, nice machine!!!

As for the drive line hesitation... it's normal to have a little, but it shouldn't be overly noticeable and should smooth out as it breaks in.

Enjoy!!
