Polaris Sportsman 570 EPS vs Can Am Outlander L 570 DPS

Hey everyone,

I am looking at buying my first atv and have narrowed it down to these two bikes. The Can Am Outlander L 570 DPS and the Polaris Sportsman 570 EPS. I would like opinions on The Can Am and what people think about the new 570.

I would be using the atv for general trail riding, hunting, no mudding unless I have to, and plowing my driveway in the winter. I will have my wife on the back once in a while as well.

So what would you guys recommend. I know I am asking this question on a polaris forum, but I asked the same question on the Can Am forum as well. Just interested to hear people's opinions.

I believe they are pretty similar in price. With the Can Am being a little higher. But I don't mind paying more if it means I get a better machine. The price difference isn't high enough to play a factor in the choice.

Price and local support should be the deciding factor.

Thanks,

You are missing the point of the question. I want to know people's experience with each machine. What one is built better for what I want to use it for. Issues I should watch out for. If one cost X and the other costs Y, but the one that cost X has major issues and isn't reliable, than the one that cost Y wins. I wanna know about the machines.

Glad I came here.... Can't ask a simple question and get a useful answer. I must have misunderstood the idea of forums. My bad.

I was in th Same boat like you. At the end I discovered that the 570 rotax engine on the canam is totally new. On the opposite side the 570 prostar on the Polaris is a proven engine taken from the rzr so with the experience on the companies "new products" I surely went for the engine with more years. It's like a rule, the first year of something complex like an engine is nothing but problems.

Aside from that both machines are really good. Polaris is better on ride comfort and storage, and canam on speed and maybe styling
