Angry Looking for a replacement CDI...

I have an '03 600 Twin. It died just after hunting season started. I have managed to find the service manual and have followed the instructions to troubleshoot a no spark problem. I am in spec for everything I can test except the CDI. I cannot find one for less the a couple of hundred bucks. Does anybody have any sources they would be willing to share?

Take a look at cheapcycleparts.com or bikebandit.com Both will have every part you can think of OEM and aftermarket. Their prices are pretty similar although CCP usually is cheaper. SN: beware ebay when it comes to OEM. I just ordered a fuelpump for my P/U that cross referenced fine, but when i got the part it was incorrect. Good luck and hopefully you are up and playing again soon!

This was a known issue with the 02-04 Sp 700's. Polaris has a retrofit kit for it, to the tune of $500!! I did mine, took me the better part of a day but the quad starts and runs better than ever. I'm not sure if the 600 is in the same boat, but it is very possible. The part number for the kit is 2202603, and most of the online parts houses carry it.

Smile I have a CDI

I have a CDI for a 2008 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO. They go for a little over $200 but I am willing to sell it for a decent offer.

I have the same problem on a Sportsman 600 and I ordered the 2202603 kit from partshark.com. I am trying to install it and it looks like the wire connections are a little different than the old one. I am not sure if I need to connect the red wire that comes from the CDI that is in the same connector as the black kill switch wire. The old CDI got power from a wire that ran from the regulator but that wire came out with the old harness. If someone has installed one maybe they can give me some help.
