Sportsman 90 brake ?

Well, I can see from the lever travel I have to replace/service the front brakes. Has anyone done this on a Sportsman 90? They are drum brakes all around and I can see the shoes in a diagram of the front brakes, but nothing shows the drum. Is it part of the wheel or hub? Does this get 'turned' like conventional brake drums or just replaced? If you have done this what 'banana scale' rating would you give it for degree of difficulty?

Sorry this is my first four wheeler and the service manual I have shows this as a 'dealer service' item. I do not see why I need to go to a dealer for brakes.

I've got three 90's between 2007-2009 and those drum brakes really do suck. You probably just need to replace the shoes and maybe the springs for good measure, and be sure to check all of your adjusters. not sure if the following is any different from what you've already been to, but it's worth a shot...

Thanks; I looked and the prices are the same. I'll start with the shoes and springs and see how it goes.
