Thumbs up 07 Sportsman ETC question

I have a 07 Sportsman 500HO x2 and it wont idle fast enough to keep the bike running. I think the problem is related to the ETC and slack in the cable but im not sure how to fix this. If anyone has a suggestion and possibly a picture or schematic would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks in advance!!

The throttle lever should have a 1/16 to 1/8 inch of play in it. The cable can be adjusted right down from the throttle block on the the cable itself.
