I have mounted two Super Winches so far. My buddies wife has one that still needs to be mounted...
On my pops 550XP (A 3500#model )I put it under the front box in one of the depressions and drilled two access holes for the wires.
On my wife's Trail Boss, (A 2000# model) I mounted it between the frame under the seat.
Find the spot as out of the elements as possible where the wiring allows. Just take your time laying out the wires, don't pull too tight and run the wires with some thought avoiding abrasions or movement that could loosen connections.
