2005 Sportsman 500 H.O. Problems

So I'm riding along and my 2005 Sportsman 500 H.O. dies. I start it up and give it the gas and it blubbers and dies again. It wil start up and idle smooth as can be but when I give it some gas it blubbers and dies everytime. I'm running a K&N air filter and pre filter on the carb. (it's not fuel injected) that was cleaned and oiled before I went for a ride. Any ideas why?
Thanks

*** PROBLEM SOLVED *** I took the top off the carb and found out that the e-clip came off the carb needle and the slide was not moving up or down. When I gave it gas it would flood out and die. Put the e-clip back on the middle notch of the needle and put the carb back together and it fired right up and runs like a champ.

I have a 2006 sportsman 500 HO EFI. Just bought it for the up comming deer season. Its been running great and now all of a sudden the engine backfires when you let off the throttle and won't idle. You have to keep the engine @ 3000rpm to keep it running. Can any one help me figure this problem out?

I've tried taking all the fuel out and checking the filter, pulling the spark plug and regaping(looked great), checked the spark plug wire and coil for any abnormal signs and nothing there, pulling the injector(inspecting and looked good), cleaned the air flow sensor, new K&N filter, inspected for any vacume leaks and added fresh fuel. I gave the thing a bath after playing in the mud alittle bit and thought I may have gotten something wet but its been 8 days now and whatever it is should have dried out.

Not sure if this is the same but my 05 500HO had problems missing or running bad between 20=30 mph, checked with a Polaris dealer who drove it and he said he had no idea but he would guess it was not fuel related, waited 2 weeks for him to look at and hadn't gotten to it so picked it up and worked on it myself , went 2 sizes bigger on the main jet and problem solved.
