kewl thanks for the imput. wanted to make sure that I didn't have a major problem. I am still new to the belt system. Wonder if polaris has a TB on the heat issue. do they offer a better heat shield??? wonder if a nice thermal coating would help enough to bear the cost. I dont care for the pipe wrap it will hold moisture and makes things rust.

Hey bannanospeed....... must be wicked to ride yours around Italy. Post up some picks!!!

I wonder if painting the pipe with a high temp paint prior to wrapping it with the heat tape would prevent the rust??

hi,i put the wrap on my 05 800 and it works great no more burning leg.i think it also helps the seat from warping and cracking from all the heat.

i love this topic about the chain running on the drain plug.. i have brought this up many times with 2 different dealers in my area a long time ago and nobody new what i was talking about and never heard anyone ever question it... even on polaris files not much help was given accept for 1 guy... from that i assumed that no one ever changed their agl (tranny) fluid..

When you wrapped yours, what did you do with the metal heat sheild that is bolted to the pipe? I have 25' of DEI titanium wrap and some stainless ties on the way, will tackle it and the HID kit this weekend.
