2003 Sportsman 700 problems

I finally picked up the 700 i asked questions about with the 4wd not to long ago. Now here is what i have. The 4wd doesnt engage and does not show up on the speedo. The speed doesnt work on the speedo and the lights flick off and on. Also for every gear it shows E on the display except for when its in nuetral. Lets hear yall ideas of were to start. Right now from reading all the other topics i am leading to that its the just the speedo. Sorry about posting this up but every search just show one or the other instead of all of them.

My buddy had the same kindda problem with his 500. It was the 4X4 switch the electronic one, he changed that out and he was good to go. I don't know if your gonna be the same but it's worth a shot I guess.

Does your exhaust y-pipe get cherry red hot when riding? I have the same bike and it does. Also takes awhile to get it warmed up.
