Front Diff accessibility with winch and ATV Guru bumper ?

Hey all,

I got my sportsman 500 about a month ago, immediately ordered a superwinch 3500 synthetic winch and the appropriate mounting bracket for it off of promark offroad.

I put my pregressors on the front struts last night so i figured i would look at what it will take to mount the winch. Those will be nice!

#1, it appears that the front diff fill/check hole is inaccessible were the winch to be installed.

#2, this got me thinking, with the way the ATV Guru bumper is made, does mounting it also render the front diff inaccessible?

I'm sure I could figure out a way to get to the front diff to check/fill it, but it would require loosening the top 2 bolts of the winch mount, and removing the bottom 2, then tilting the winch + mount up and out of the way. Just to check/change the fluid.

Just wondering your thoughts.

Cheers!

My ATV-GURU bumpers ARE FOR SALE, front and rear, BRAND NEW. Me a reasonable offer and they are YOURS.

(As you probably already know, they are currently unavailable from TheAtvSuperstore.com /ATV-Guru for an undisclosed amount of time).

I covered that issue in a thread about the Guru somewhere. You can access the fill hole with the guard installed. The winch does require unbolting and sliding it out of the way. You have to do that even without the Guru though.

Thanks for the reply. I went ahead and ordered the ultimate front guru bumper. I think i will just wait to put the winch on until after I change fluids for the first time. The manual says you only have to change the fluids every 50 hrs, so I'll change them at 10 and then every 50 . Thanks for all your help too, with taking the special pictures for me.
