teach me about clutch kits

all i know is you pretty much have to have one if you run a decently sized tire. how do they work?

also i need help finding one for a 96 sportsman 500 with EBS. i found a kit for a 96 sportsman 500 but its says w/o EBS so i'm guessing it makes a difference?

thanks
B

Don't know exactly how they work, other than you change springs, change engagement RPMs and need a kit if you are going to run big tires...but mainly I think your signature is awesome!

A clutch kit just uses different weights and springs in order to change when the clutch engages. Since you are wanting those larger tires you should invest in one. Call Quad Shop Customs and ask for Adam. He will explain to you what he thinks you need for your machine based on your tire size and riding style.
