Ok I have yet another question. I am running a 96 400 sportsman with no lighting modification but I am having a problem with my winch draining my battery when plowing snow. I know the machine is charging as the lights stay nice and bright but when I use the winch it dims my lights and there isn't enough power to lift the blade. This happens about 30 minutes into plowing. Is there a way to increase voltage back to the battery for a quicker charge recovery? I show about 14.5 volt on the battery when machine is running and I had the battery checked and they said it was fine. Any suggestions???"?

IMO, your battery may be good enough for regular starting/riding but to run the winch for plowing it just doesn't have enough anymore to do the job.. I just put an Odyessy battery in mine and what a differance..
If you can, kill the headlights while plowing. You are using power faster than you are recharging. Even with a larger battery (storage) you'll eventually run low.
