Problem downloading blink codes

Hi

I have problems downloading blink codes on my Polaris Sportsman 500 EFI 2007. Accordning to the manual: With the transmission in Park turn the egnition key to ON and OFF 3 times leaving it on ON the third time. This initiates the download process and the word WAIT will occur on the display. I have tried this several times but the process wont start.

Does anyone know what could be the problem.
