polaris 800 sportsman just dies

Okay well i have applied all of the dielectric grease to all my connection and plugs and sealed my airbox or atleast thought i sealed it. I took it out over the weekend and hit a few holes with her, and this time i got in some deep peanut butter mud, and a little water and once i got stuck it just dwindled down on power and then eventully died. i have to hold the starter over and give it gas just to get it to start back up. eventually got out, but i cant stand how it keep stalling on me when im in the middle of the hole. the mudd and water is up about 2 inches below the seat, so its nothing to drastic. the exhaust is under the water. So when i got back checked the airbox and there is a tiny bit of mud on the bottom of the inside of the airbox. what is the deal???? any help?

Sounds like something is getting wet. Either electrical or your air intake. Go through and make sure everything is dielectrically greased, especially the spark plug boots. also make sure that your airbox is completely siliconed.

It definately can get aggrivating. Any little pin hole and water will get in. Problem with these is airbox lid warps a little bit. Take out the gasket that is in the lid, and just fill the rim of the lid with silicon. Then make sure there are no gaps once lid is installed back on the box and let the silicon fully cure. I usually take the airbox out to do this.
