Question about oil injection
How do you know if the oil injection is working? Will the bike run if it dont? Can the gas and oil be premixed and put in the tank? Any info will help as I am new to Polaris. Thanks

Open up that .PDF service manual file you downloaded a few days ago. In Acrobat reader, go to pages 236 and 237. (These correspond to the Polaris pages 7.12 and 7.13.) These pages explain how to adjust and test the oil pump. The procedure at the top of page 237 (7.13) explains what to do if oil starvation is suspected. Basically, the oil pump feed tube connects to the intake manifold and with the oil pump lever full open and the engine running, "Oil should pulse from the delivery line every few seconds."
Yes, oil can be premixed in the tank if the oil pump is inoperative and I've known a couple of people that have done that for some time without problems. I don't remember what oil ratio they used, however. (Someone that's done this will hopefully chime in with that.) - MarkC

We have intentionally bypassed the oil injection on all of our Trailblazers so that we don't have to worry about it.
We run 32:1 ratio with Polaris Gold oil. (about $40/gallon).
If you do this, a ratio rite cup is your friend. They are about 8-10$ online.
