Well here we go again. I purchased the Polaris HD 3500 winch for my 2011 850 X2 and decided what the heck since I blew the money on the factory winch why not throw the rest of my money in the pit.
I bought the Polaris winch remote with the wireless fob and installed it with out too much trouble. But here's the catch ---->
It doesn't work very well over about 5 or 6 feet in front of the X2. So I thought maybe the fob battery was weak and I replaced it. It didn't make any difference at all. Next I added a bit more length to the antenna wire letting it hang down in front on the radiator. That may have helped but I really couldn't tell any difference.
Bottom line ---- can anyone else comment on the remote. I expected you could use it to feed out the winch line if you got stuck and stand there maybe in excess of 20 or 30 feet and using the winch remote and winch the X2 out of a bog or water hole.
What the heck?????
