2011 Sportsman H.O. waterproofing
After a lot of trouble, I finally got my bike to quit stalling in deep water. My first go round water proofing it I half a**ed putting dielectric grease on my spark plug boot ( i didnt pull it out and i just used my finger to whipe the grease around it). It wouldn't idle under water and it would stall if i didnt stay on the throttle in a deep hole. Today I pulled out the boot, put a lot of dielectric grease on it, and put a screw in my carb drain hose. I took it to a little water hole behind my house and for the first time since Ive had my bike, it could idle under water. This is a short clip of testing it:

Now you need to run your vent lines up and snorkle your intakes.

which vent lines do i need to run up on an '11? I didn't notice any important ones that didn't run up to my pod but i could have missed one. i'm going to hold off on snorkeling the intakes, i bought the 5 year warranty and i would not be happy if it got voided

Front and rear diffs and fuel tank are the main ones. I have not seen an 11 so not sure where they are run too, but if they are already in the pod then you are good. And just a note on the snorkels and warrenty, just remember that warranty does not cover a drowned out machine. Gotta way the pros and cons there if you like riding the water/mud.

Lost Cause is on the money!!! I had to reroute the front diff & tranny vent hoses to the light pod on both my wheelers!!!!!!!

thanks i'll reroute those. if it looks to deep i stay out of it. the reason i did this waterproofing was because my bike was stalling in holes shallower than the one in the video

Had the same problem with mine. Always remember "when in doubt back it out".
