Works the same with or without the HID's. If your going HID then the 3 headlight mod is a must. It takes the HID's a bit to warm up, so if your travling along with the 2 lower lights on and you switch to high beam...you will be in the dark for a bit while the high beam lights up. Do the 3 headlight mod with the relay. I have the 3 headlight mod installed and a set of HID's from Thor...they are AWESOME.

Not at all...watch that video, make a note on the wire colors, then just make sure you have the relay, the extra wiring and the ends. I've installed the mod on 6 Sportsmans...the first time I did it, it took me about 30 minutes because I went slow and checked everything 6 times. Now I can do it in about 15 or 20...and thats with one of my buddies standing there watching, talking and asking questions/telling stories lol.

I'm not sure...I just went to AutoZone and picked up the stuff. A 5 pin relay, some 16 guage wire (need enough for 4 lengths of 6-10 inches), some quick splices and some female ends to hook onto the relay.
