2010 polaris 500 sportsman wont start

i have a 2010 sportsman with approx 500 miles on it. three times this winter i have had issues with starting it. it starts ok in the morning but then it starts to act up(sputtering, poping, backfiring) and wont run. Then it refuses to start. There is spark on the plug and theres fuel getting to the carb. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I bought it to my local Polaris dealer. He drained the gas, changed the plug and the bike fired up perfect. I am considering Putin in a water separator. Will this solve my problem?

Better to store them with the tanks completely full. Air space allows for condensation. Also treat the gas with stabil and/or ethanol treatment.

The heat off the engine heats the gas tank, and when it cools water droplets form inside the tank. Mostly happens in the winter and fall. Seafoam is the best IMO. It also cleans the carb and can be used before an oil change to help degunk the oil galleys and valve seats.

Exactly..

Condensation collects inside the tank from temperature differences between fuel and air! Keep your fuel tank full after every ride and your problem will be solved.

I finally found out the issue with my atv! Appenently snow was drifting and blowing down into my air intake and when it melted it went into the air filter. when trying to start it moisture was being pulled into the carb. I rectified the problem by putting an extension on my intake so now it goes up under the tank fairing. i have over a 100 miles on since and no issues. Hopefully this issue may help others who are having a similar issue! Thanks to all who posted
