The clutch system is terrible, it uses the spedo to control AWD, the frontend sags, you have to use the foot brake to engage only H and P.. I'm selling the 700 to buy a Grizzly with EPS.. I owned them for years and IMO, the Polaris doesn't even come close in many ways.. This is what I think of Polaris.. I call em as I see em.. Take your time, go and look all the brands over really well and then make your decsion..

polaris has came a long way in 10 years and also considering you bought it used means you cant rightfully say everything your machine has been thru. i love the 4x4 system, i've had no problems with the stock clutch system and i run 28s, and i DONT have to use the foot brake to engage H or P. the only thing i see about your statement i agree with is the ride and the front end sagging. buy HD springs or install $30 dollar spring spacers, which also gives you 2" of ground clearance, and youre set

I'm sure they have come along way.. My machine was used by a 70 year old man for ice fishing.. It's like new.. All I'm saying is there are things about the way Polaris builds there ATV's that I don't care for.. I was a mechanical engineer for 25 years and I know when something is built well and when it isn't.. Just my opinion.. No machine ATV or not, is built perfectly but IMO there is better.. Just giving the OP my opinion and my advise is look em all over.. I have bought many things before there were forums to go on and ask questions and have paid the price of not getting others opinions.. I'm not bashing Polaris by any means.. My 700 rides like a dream and if all I was going to do is ride trails with it, I would put a clutch in it and a few other little things and keep it and enjoy it but that's not what I use an ATV for..

I have never met an engineer that said "now that is perfect". They always can do it better!

Thanks guys. I'm not a ballsy or reckless driver, and I'm pretty meticulous about mechanical maintenance, so it sounds like a Polaris should perform great for me and last a long time. I'm really looking forward to finally getting mine.

I have to say my 850 has just been a lemon (baby ed the crap out of it) but my other 850 has been a good bike. then I got my 08 800 touring that I have kicked the crap out of Sinking it using it for mud smashing trees jumping it and a lot of other things.
My touring has been through 7000+ miles of ass kicking and has had little trouble been dame good bike
