Homemade diamond plated aluminum a-arm gaurds

Started off with tracing my template on the sheet of aluminum.
Tried not to waste much so it was a puzzle to get them on there with the least amount of waste.

This is the front two i got done first....As you can tell the right one is ground down and lookin good and the left one is just what i cut out.

These are the finnished products...one complete set!

All i have to do next is bend them and drill the holes.
I will post more pics with them on and lookin good!

Those should look real nice. Definitely post pics of finished product. You are much more ambitious than I. I let Ricochet do the work for me, but I always liked custom work on the machines.

How are you going to mount them?

My buddy owns a store that sells all returns and scratch and dent items outa parts unlimited. I found some made outa diamond plate bent into a u shape with 4 holes for mounting but I'm not sure how to fix them to the machine.

SHEP...im going to mount them just like the factory ones are mounted in the front and rear. I still have to bend them, but ill drill the holes and put some screws in.

and to what you said, whats parts unlimited? but for those kind you would take a pipe clamp that looks like this \_/--- and bolt the clamp around the tube of the gaurd. thats what i would do anyway. also seen it done that way.
