HELP!! Sportsman Belts EBS vs Non EBS

Has anyone ever used a non EBS belt on a EBS model. I took my sportsman to the shop because when you put it in gear it starts to move and the mech told me to use a non EBS belt on it because the EBS belt was not letting the clutch freewheel as it should. I am going today to buy one if noone tells me different so if you know about this issue please let me know. When you put it in low the atv has to be turned off to get it back out of low range and he said the non ebs belt would solve the problem. HELP PLEASE if you know if this will help and if it won't I won't go spend 60 bucks I don't need to. THANKS

If you have EBS only use a EBS belt on it. However if it's non-EBS either belt will work. The EBS belt has the grooves that matches the belt. If you put a non-EBS belt on the EBS machine it will sometimes cause it to creap in neutral and it will start to move as soon as you put it in gear. You can buy an aftermarket belt from a parts store. GATES brand makes a belt called a G-Force it looks good. Its a new product. I got one and put it on an atv it worked good. I have sold 3 or 4 at work without any problems. Where I work we warranty those belts.
