When in AWD front diff popping some times.

I was out mudding some and got stuck. I switched over to AWD then gave it throttle. Then front diff popped a few times and I let off. I put it in reverse awd and it backed out without popping. It did it more than once. When it pops the tires dont turn. It still pulls in AWD as long as Im not on it hard.I have 27 inch outlaw's on it and also have my rear springs on stiffest setting. I also put highlifter springs on the front but no lift kit...... Think it could be too high for stock axels???? Anyone have any ideas??

Could be the sprague in the diff I had to change the one out in my daughters 04 1/2 witch is the same as the 05. Super ATV has an aluminum one that will fit several models, their not that hard to change out. Or it could be the CV depends on how many miles, age etc.

It is your front sprague. Your big tires are causing it to skip when in a real bind. You can change it out, but the Aluminum one will do it also if your tires are to big and in a real bind.

Agreed here with it being the plastic sprague cage in the front diff. It is probably cracked/broken. Since you run outlaws I recommend the aluminum one from superatv. Go ahead and get their armature plate as well. I run 29.5 laws with no issues since installing the aluminum cage.

Thanks so much guys! I had no idea about this thing. I was thinking I was in for some big money repairs. Looked the parts up and they are cheaper than I thought. 170 bucks isnt bad at all! any other issues you guys can think of going with these outlaws. Im looking at bigger tie rods and spare ends as well.

Be easy on the gas when in any mud with roots but that goes for any tire, sometimes it better to ease through than gasing on it.

With outlaws you will eventually need better axles like gorilla or turner. Also a gorilla rear prop shaft as the U-joint will eventually go bad. Custom clutch kit is also nice to have to help get you through the thick stuff. As far as your tie rods go, I just keep a spare. I run 29.5 outlaws and have only bent 2 tie rods.
