Sportsman XP front rack work on 2012 X2?

My X2 came with the front cargo box. I am wondering if the sportsman xp front rack would work in place of the cargo box? I am wanting to use some of the lock and ride accessories to haul different things but there isn't hardly anything available for the X2 so I am thinking about buying the regular, front rack to have as an option when I don't want the cargo box.

Does anyone know if this will fit right in place of the cargo box? It looks like the lock and ride anchors are in the same spot but I don't want to buy it without knowing for sure. Any help would be much appreciated.

I found the rack I think will work on eBay.

I would like to carry more stuff for ice fishing and I always seem to have an extra person riding with me which sort of defeats the purpose of the bed. I like the Wild Banchee rack but I refuse to pony up $300 for that rack. That is why I think if I can replace the front cargo box with the regular rack it would be a lot more useful for when I use it for ice fishing.

I would have to imagine it would, a rack of a 2010 850 XP will fit on My 2011 X2, I tried one off of a friends machine to see how it looked. I would think nothing has changed for 2012. Sorry, I didn't take any pics

I just bought the steel front rack for my 2011 850X2. Fit perfectly.
